S. FREDERICK (Rick) WINIKER, III, 43, is a Charlotte native and a 1985 graduate of East Mecklenburg High School. After college, he served as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He has tried dozens of cases in state and federal courts.
